BEN SUGGS

President

Ben plays many roles in the community on top of
being a founding member of the Love Chatham
movement. First and foremost, as pastor of Freedom
Family Church, a non-denominational congregation
planted in Siler City in 2017 after spending 9 years as
a youth pastor in Liberty. He also owns Southern
Entertainment, a mobile DJ company that has been
serving schools and weddings in central NC since
2006. In addition, he has spent time teaching at
Chatham Charter School and Central Carolina
Community College. Ben sits on multiple advisory
boards around the Siler City community where he
lives with his wife Jenna and their 5 children.

PATRICIA NELLUMS

Secretary

Patricia served in the United States Navy as a Corpsman. She is enrolled in the Nursing program at Randolph Community College. She loves to garden and be outside any chance she gets. She serves in her church as a Sunday school teacher and is involved with the Food/Clothing pantry. She lives in Randolph County with her husband and their three children. She loves discipling and helping wherever she can and where she is needed.

TOM ROSWICK

Board Member

Rev. Tom Roswick has served for the past 7 years as Lead Pastor at the Pittsboro Church of the Nazarene.  Prior to that position he was the Pastor at Nazarene Church in North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

​

  Other noteable experience for Tom is, serving as a Witness Coordinator for the NC District and leading mission trips across the United States and internationally.

​

   For the past several years he has been involved with Chatham County Salvation Army and currently serves on their Advisory Board.

 

  He was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and is an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

SANDEE DAVIS

Board Member

   Sandee has worked in retail for over 35 years. Her passion is working with people. God blessed her with a ministry of helps and outreach which she takes every opportunity to practice.

​

  Sandee has a strong belief that giving a hand up to someone is showing an
extension of the love of Christ.

In addition to her involvement with Love Chatham, she volunteers with the Salvation Army and CORA Food Pantry.

DONALD SOUTHERN

Board Member

    Pastor Don serves as the pastor at First Wesleyan in Siler city and Bethlehem Wesleyan in Snow camp.

​

    He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry from John Wesley University.


   He is Married with three children and lives in Siler City.  His ministry focuses are childcare, recovery programs and discipleship.

DAKOTA PHILBRICK

Executive Director

  Dakota, a Chatham County native, is a graduate of Chatham Central High School and Appalachian State University, where he majored in Business Management and Computer Information Systems.

   

   Over the last 15 years Philbrick has gained experience in accounting principles, project management, information technologies, and small business entrepreneurship all over the southeast before moving back to NC in 2020.

   

    Dakota’s life verse is Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.” He wants to be a part of passing on that same kind of hope to others.
