Ben Suggs

President

    Ben serves as our President and a founding member of Love Chatham.  His primary calling came in 2017, after nine years as a youth pastor in Liberty, when he was asked to be the Pastor of Freedom Family Church in Siler City,NC where he continues to serve and lead its non-denominational congregation.

​

    He also owns Southern Entertainment, a mobile DJ company that has been serving schools and weddings in central NC since 2006.   In addition, he has spent time teaching at Chatham Charter School and Central CarolinaCommunity College.

​

     Ben sits on multiple advisory boards around the Siler City community where he lives with his wife Jenna and their 5 children.

Edie Neeves

Secretary

   Edie has volunteered with Love Chatham since its foundation, and is committed to its goals of serving and loving those in our community who experience homelessness.

​

     She holds degrees in Economics and Business Administration from UNC-Greensboro and has worked in the furniture, software and medical industries in the past. She now focuses on her roles as proud wife, mother and grandmother, who serves in her church in the children’s ministry and as a greeter. And she’s a hugger!

Glenn Borie

Vice President

Glenn has been a part of Love Chatham since the beginning, as he sat with a small group of believers pondering how to partner with God tofill the needs  of our community. 

He has served behind the scenes in many different areas and in 2026 joined the board to help serve and lead in new ways. 

Glenn is a partially retired truck driver that attends Fellowship Baptist Church in Siler City.

SANDEE DAVIS

Board Member

   Sandee has worked in retail for over 35 years.

Her passion is working with people. God blessed her with a ministry of helps and outreach which she takes every opportunity to practice.

​

  Sandee has a strong belief that giving a hand up to someone is showing an extension of the love of Christ.

​

In addition to her involvement with Love Chatham, she volunteers with the Salvation Army  and CORA Food Pantry.

Dr. John Elridge

Board Member

John joined the board in 2026 after years of working in the community and partnering with Love Chatham from the outside. 

He spent many years as a school teacher, principal, and administrator until recently when he semi-retired and began working with  Performance Charter School Development
and the North Carolina Charter School Review
Board. John also chairs the board for Chatham Trades, Inc. 

Angie Stanley

Treasurer

Angie is another board member that has spent most of her time behind the scenes serving faithfully in one way or another. Chiefly, she ran our Clothing Closet during the years it was open alongside food distributions. 

She has stepped into a board role to put her accounting skills to good use and is looking forward to helping with future plans for a thrift store to help support our housing ministries. 

Angie and her two teenagers are deeply involved in serving the Chatham community in many ways. 

DAKOTA PHILBRICK

Executive Director

  Dakota, a Chatham County native, is a graduate of Chatham Central High School and Appalachian State University, where he majored in Business Management and Computer Information Systems.

   

   Over the last 15 years Philbrick has gained experience in accounting principles, project management, information technologies, and small business entrepreneurship all over the southeast before moving back to NC in 2020. 

​

  While Simultaneously directing and running Love Chatham, Dakota maintains various board positions with countless partner agencies in the Chatham Community.  

​

    Dakota’s life verse is Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.” He wants to be a part of passing on that same kind of hope to others."

NICOLE JONES

Transitional Housing Manager

  Nicole is a Chatham County native and proud graduate of Chatham Central High School. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and has been a Certified Peer Support Specialist since 2022.

 

   Nicole currently manages Love Chatham’s Transitional House program.  Her faith in God and past life experiences has inspired her to help and support others.  She firmly believes that with faith as small as a mustard seed... anyone can overcome challenges and move mountains—just as she has in her own life.

 

   In her spare time, Nicole enjoys resting with a good TV show, spending time with her family and friends, and loving on her fur babies.
